Hi there, I'm Jillian! I’m 31, a Mama to three littles, a fur mama to 2 dogs and 4 cats, and lover of the ocean, wine & sunshine!
I have always been a creative person, searching for that spark. My mom introduced me to a camera at a young age & since then, I have always enjoyed documenting my own life. Two years ago, it clicked that photography was something that I wanted to pursue professionally. So, I took some education, continued to hone my skills & I can confidently say that I have found my passion!
I’m quite down-to-earth and I enjoy making people feel comfortable at my sessions. Let's play some music, move around and have some fun! I love random chats about life, traveling and motherhood. When we meet, I can promise you 2 things - lots of laughs, as well as beautiful photo memories that we’ll create together.

My 3 kiddos are my world. As a Mama and someone who married their high school sweetheart 7 years ago (together for 15 years), I understand how important your wedding day is, your maternity session, the birth of your child, their first birthdays, the small moments of your family while they are little. I take capturing your moments very seriously and I like to use a variety of poses and prompts, to give you a mix of posed and candid moments in your gallery. I aim to have fun at our sessions and help you feel relaxed, enjoying the moment you are in, without focusing on the nerves.
Before my years as a Geology and Environmental Science Honours Student at Dalhousie University, I was a day camp leader with Halifax Recreation for 5 years. I spent my summers with kids of all ages, planning day trips and activities. I like to bring some of the things I learned there into my sessions. Sometimes we'll play music, maybe play a little game or dance. I want to capture you and your kids in you current life stage, and one of the best ways to do that is through play. Then our session becomes more about the interactions between you and your partner and your kiddos, and less about me taking your picture. I always will add those typical "smile at me" photos, but then I like to quickly turn it into exploring our surroundings and getting some movement involved.
The same goes for Weddings. I like to add some posed shots, as well as movement into your pictures, so you get a good mix of both. I like to capture details, as well as candid moments of your guests. There is a quote that has stuck with me over the years; "as a wedding photographer, you may be the last person to capture a loved one". I don't take that position for granted, and try to capture the laughs and tears of the people you have asked to be apart of your big day. To help get to know you better as a couple, so that I can better capture what is most meaningful to you, I include a complimentary engagement shoot in my wedding packages. This gives us a chance to get to know each other and help you feel comfortable moving towards your wedding.
I pride myself on being down-to-earth and approachable. If you ever have any questions, need help planning outfits, vendor recommendations, photo location possibilities, etc. I am more than happy to help!
